The Sanctuary

Sanctuary between
Land & Sea.

Right at the sea — nothing between us and the water but one small street. The terrace looks out over the Adriatic. Beautiful trees give shade. A little island in front breaks the waves, filling the air with that constant sound of the sea. Inside: warm colours, candles, books, a practice room. Fires in the evening. The sunrise different every single day. And Maya — our cat, who arrived in a storm and never left — who has a way of finding exactly who needs him.

Half Dutch,

I didn't arrive here through a straight line. I followed an intuition that made no logical sense — through years in psychiatry, through travel, through a year in the Egyptian desert, through a moment in Salento when everything clicked.

Since I was a child I could read what lives beneath the surface of people — beneath what they say, beneath how they present, beneath the performance. My work is not about method. It is about perception, precision, and holding a space honest enough for truth to surface.

Il Sentiero means the path. I am not here to walk it for you. I am here to walk beside you — until you remember you always knew the way.

How I work

The deepest moment
is always the quietest.

Transformation here does not happen through dramatic catharsis or structured exercises. It happens when something inside you goes suddenly, completely quiet. That quietness is recognition. Truth landing. The nervous system releasing something it has held for years.

Before anything real can move, you need to feel safe enough to let it. I create that ground — without judgment, without rushing, without agenda.

Slow

You have spent years being fast. Here, we slow down — because slowness is the only language the deeper layers of you understand.

Not fixing. Not telling you who you are. Helping you hear yourself again — the truth you already know somewhere deep down, beneath the noise.

What is ready to shift, shifts. Not because I push it — but because when you finally arrive at stillness, nothing that no longer serves you can stay.

The Retreats

Spring in Salento. The sea is cool and clear, the olive groves are green, and the days are long enough to go deep. A few spaces still open.

Mid July → End of August

The Still Season

The heat calls for slowness. Come and stay — a room, slow mornings, sea swims, gentle practice. Not a full retreat. A different kind of arrival.

September → Mid November

The Return

Autumn is the most potent season here. The land cools, the crowds leave, and the real work becomes possible again. Retreats resume in full.
