Sometimes I'm in
the middle of it too.
A letter about being tired, about how keeping going sometimes looks exactly like standing still, and why I will never claim to have arrived.
Dear you,
I'll be honest straight away. Sometimes I'm in the middle of it too.
Some days I am so deeply tired inside. What works best for me then is acceptance. Embracing everything that is there in that moment.
That isn't always easy. Because sometimes there are those heavy feelings and thoughts. Failure. Heaviness. I'm not good enough. I can't do it.
But I keep going.
And keeping going, pushing through, sometimes looks exactly the same as standing still. As doing literally nothing.
Like now. As I write this, I'm lying on the bed with my two cats beside me. In a moment I'll get up again. Hang the washing, maybe sweep. A walk outside in the sun.
But I'm also allowed to just lie here. And to let myself do nothing at all, except write this letter to you. And receive the nuzzling and purring of the cat on my belly. They always want to be with me. It's so lovely.
Riding the waves
I will never claim that I've arrived. That I have no more challenges of my own, or that I always feel good. But I am very happy with how I deal with them.
The last few months have been terribly hard. I had to move, and it was anything but gentle. And I, who feel everything and am deeply sensitive — it could have knocked me down.
But that doesn't happen any more.
I've felt a lot of sadness. And a lot of anger. As a young woman, alone, in a region where I have no family. Fully self-employed, earning my own living, taking care of myself entirely. Even though the sense of community here is strong.
But I know how to regulate myself. I know what I need to stay calm. And I really wasn't always calm. I don't think that's possible in a human life either. Except maybe if you're a monk.
Because for me, life isn't about meditating on a mountain and always feeling at peace.
For me, life is about knowing how to ride the waves. How to let yourself be carried by the wind. Sometimes how to stay standing in a storm. And sometimes how to surrender to the storm.
The sky over Salento
Embracing everything in the moment. As light as a feather, even when you feel the weight. All of it is allowed to be there.
And the better you learn to ground the waves, the gusts of wind and the hot fire, the better you can meet the gusts of life.
That's really what I offer here. Showing that there is another way to live. Without constant resistance.
Simply, in everyday life
All of this happens in my magical place in the south of Italy, in Puglia. Right at the very tip, close to the sea. Ten minutes' walk and I already have a beautiful view.
I step outside and there is peace around me. An oasis of green. The scent of the plants. The taste of fresh fruit. It helps me enormously.
An oasis of green
This is where I welcome people who need the same thing I do. The path back to yourself. And that looks different for everyone.
I do that with love and softness. And now and then with that strong mirror too, the one that goes right through you.
I offer space to people who need to come all the way back to themselves. Who are looking for answers, but for a while no longer know where to look.
I work a lot with silence. And with being. I need that myself too. I'm someone who feels everything, and that's why I love going into silence and nature.
At the same time I love being with people. But there too, silence is allowed.
And that is where beautiful, deep conversations begin. By the crackling fire. On the way to my favourite cave nearby. On walks and long lunches. Over a glass of wine. It makes my heart so warm.
So what I offer happens right in the middle of everyday life. There's no clock hanging over the conversations. The deepest ones often come on their own: when we sit down for a moment in that cave, or take that one delicious bite of pasta.
This is a place for silence, softness and love. But also for inspiration and inner fire. It's really everything.
I help you find your way to that small place inside yourself where everything you need to know is waiting. Sometimes you hear nothing at all there. That's good too.
And sometimes you find every answer there. Simply by going into the silence for a moment. And then perhaps receiving exactly the right questions.
Or perhaps you're allowed to be completely okay, for a while, with not having answers. And maybe that is exactly where the treasure lies.
And all the moments after
I tailor everything, and I like to include everything. Food, drink, picking you up from the airport, the therapeutic journey here.
And staying in touch afterwards matters to me. Because integration is at least as important, if not more.
So it isn't only the journey, the time you're here. It's also all the moments after, in which you're not alone.
You don't have to do it all alone. That's why I'm here.
Home, in Salento
This is my life's work. It's what I've been working towards all these years. I'm thirty, I've lived in Salento for a year, and the place where people can come home to themselves already exists. I'm incredibly proud of that.
You are welcome with everything you are. With all your questions. All your wishes and longings.
And who knows, maybe I'm exactly the person who can walk a stretch of your path with you. So that you arrive at the place you so want to be.
But remember: I'm not the one with the answers. You are. I only walk a stretch with you.
If this resonates, send me a message or give me a call.
And for today, I wish you an embrace of everything that is. Rest, love, softness. Simply being.
